Our oldest daughter, Hazel, was born with a rare genetic deletion in 2007. Since the day she was born she was surrounded by family, friends, teachers, therapists and doctors who cared deeply for her. Hazel died unexpectantly in 2021 at 13 years old. She was given an incredible life, albeit shorter than planned.
Hazels favorite activity was movement, any form of it. Swinging, dancing, spinning, any type of movement she could get would put a smile on her face.
When Hazel was 7 years old, as a family, we created Hazel's Hope. Knowing that recreational adaptive equipment is expensive and rarely covered by insurance, our goal was to provide children with disabilities the equipment that makes them smile. At that point we did not know that Hazel's Hope would end up being our daughter's legacy.
Your support and contributions will enable us to provide adaptive recreational equipment, to children with disabilities.
